West Jersey Chapter’s January membership meeting was held at the Francis J. Ward Recreation & Community Center in Audubon, and virtually via Zoom on Monday, January 22, 2024. Eddie Fell (1892-1972) worked his way up from clerk to engineer for the West Jersey & Seashore Railroad and its successor Pennsylvania-Reading Seashore Lines. Eddie joined West Jersey Chapter in 1961, and served as Chapter Historian from 1965 until his death. This presentation by WJC President Dave Homer and member Don Lee shows a wide variety of railroad photos from Fell’s collection, with a special emphasis on the transition from steam to diesel power in the 1950s. Due to technical issues, the January 22 recording of this presentation was unusable, so it was presented again on Thursday, January 25. You can play a recording of this presentation by clicking on the image or by clicking here. The length of the program is 1:10:14.
